Please welcome Phil Schwab of ASA of Stout Advisory and Kyle Vataha of AltaView Advisors presenting on:

Navigating political and market uncertainty, technological innovation, and an evolving legal framework

Navigating political and market uncertainty, technological innovation, and an evolving legal framework.

While fundamental valuation theories and approaches have been largely unchanged for decades, how practitioners apply valuation methods and prepare valuation reports is impacted by political and economic conditions, available technological tools, as well as the current legal framework. In this timely presentation, Phil and Kyle will touch on important issues such as: the upcoming lifetime gift/estate tax exemption sunset, IRS workforce reductions, the impact of market volatility on valuation discounts, appraisers’ growing use of artificial intelligence tools, as well as recent court decisions addressing important valuation issues such as Section 2036, corporate-owned life insurance, charitable gifting of private stock, and tax affecting of pass-through entities.
